IT Officer – Data & SQL Development

Singer Finance (Lanka) PLC, a subsidiary of Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC, incorporated on 19th April 2004, is licensed by the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka under the Finance Business Act No. 42 of 2011.

We invite applications for the above position at the Head Office.

Job Profile

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support business needs.
• Design, enhance, and maintain ETL processes for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL and data integration issues to ensure seamless operations.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Support data warehousing initiatives, including data modeling, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency of organizational data across systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored data and reporting solutions.
• Maintain clear documentation of data flows, technical processes, and reporting standards.

Candidate Profile

• Successfully completed GCE Advanced Level (A/L) or equivalent.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
• Experience in a similar capacity would be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL).
• Skilled in ETL pipelines with troubleshooting expertise (added advantage).
• Fluency in analyzing and optimizing queries and data processes.
• A dynamic and result-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
